Message From Men's President Mark Broadway 7/12/21

Presidents Message 7th December 2021
Firstly, it is indeed a real honour to become the President of such a great county
as Sussex, and thanks to my club Newick for supporting my application to serve
this wonderful County.

Congratulations must also go to my Vice President John Whitfield, and Junior
Vice President Stuart James, I look forward to working alongside you both and
all the County Officers during the 2022 bowls season.

Having been a County Selector for the last 4 years I also look forward to
selecting, alongside the other selectors, the newly named Presidential Matches
as it has been a difficult 2021 season with so few names to choose from, so
hopefully now more of you bowlers, badged or unbadged, will come forward, so
please check your diaries, and put your names down, it really is an enjoyable
way to play more competitive bowls.

Congratulations to Mark Strong and his Management team, but most of all
Congratulations to all the players that he used in 2021 who won the Home
Counties League for the first time ever. Having watched the final, it was a tight
match, with every one of the Sussex players contributing to the historic win,
witnessed by myself and a few of the others County Officers, keep it up guys and
I look forward to watching you again this time as your President.

Moving forward I hope the season will be a full one, Covid is kept in check, and
I get to meet as many of you as I can during my presidential year.

I know I have the backing of a great Presidential team and County Officers and I
am confident we can make 2022 a winning year for Sussex County Bowls.
